A technical partnership announced in 2022

Reporting published in June 2022 described Intellicore’s appointment as technical partner to du Pré Marine under an initial three-year agreement.

The announced work covered software intended to support remote control of navigation systems, data and media, including video analysis, sensor-data routing and automation around connected marine equipment.

The announcement put an anticipated value of £250,000 on the first 12 months and described an initial set of six solutions intended for market in 2022. It followed increased contract activity for du Pré Marine in the automated and unmanned surface-vessel markets.

What the proposed tools were designed to do

Examples included making a searchlight follow a thermal camera automatically and using GNSS or AIS markers as reference points. Other work concerned richer video overlays and analysis, bringing information that might otherwise sit in separate systems into a more useful operational view.

The programme also targeted the configuration, routing and logging of NMEA sensor data so that multiple applications could use it and records could be cross-referenced as evidence. Taken together, those functions show how hardware, vessel data and software control were expected to operate as an integrated system.

Why the work matters

The subject illustrates a move beyond standalone equipment supply toward integrated solutions for automated and remotely operated vessels.

Because the cited agreement was announced by UK organisations in 2022, it is presented as historical wider-company work and not as a current du Pré Marine Australia partnership.
